KRIVAJA BEECHBROOK CORPORATION is fully owned subsidiary of I.P. KRIVAJA, a company headquartered in Zavidovici, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I.P. KRIVAJA was established with the idea of capitalizing on the rich timberlands of the Bosnia and Krivaja River Basin. The company began its operation in 1884 when it built a sawmill and started production of lumber using one frame sawing machine. Although the sawing machinery is much more sophisticated today, the high quality European Beech lumber is still forested in this fertile region. By the close of the 19th Century, I.P. Krivaja was manufacturing furniture, building materials, and other wood products. The company survived many wars on the Balkan Peninsula including the two World Wars and like many American companies, expanded production and grew after World War II to become one of the largest companies in southern Europe. In addition to wood industries, metal and civil engineering industry were created. Today, modern I.P. KRIVAJA is known for: quality dinettes in the United States; prefabricated houses in the Middle East; lumber, steel and diamond tip tools in Europe; for engineering designs and construction in the Balkans. |
